Searches in the field Name of Material will find records which have the specified criteria at the start of a word but also anywhere in a word. For example, "ethyl" will find records for "ethylene" but will also find those for "Dimethylamine".
In the Emergency Response Guidebook, there are no products listed by their Trade Name. Hence, a search for a Trade name will give no results.
Searches in the field ID Number must be of numerical values between 1001 and 9279, which correspond to the 4-digit UN Number. No alphabetical values will be accepted in this field. Hence, do not put UN (or NA) before the number. For example: UN1202 will give no results but 1202 will give you the results for Diesel.
Searches in the field Guide Number must be of numerical values between 111 and 174. No alphabetical values will be accepted in this field.
You may do a search in one or all the fields at the same time, but it will not narrow your search criteria. You will have all the results for each search criteria. For example: a search for "toxic" (in Name of Material) and 2927 (in ID number) will give you all the results for "toxic" and all the results for 2927.
